of 32 respected Elders of the Lac Courte Oreilles Band of
Lake
Superior Tribe of Chippewa Indians located in Northwestern
Wisconsin. The paintings are on display throughout the
Lac Courte Oreilles Reservation in the Tribal Government buildings
and
Cultural Center located east of Hayward, Wisconsin off
County Highways B & K.
"In early 2009, "Spirit of the Ojibwe,
Images of Lac Courte Oreilles Elders" including
Elders portraits, accompanied by genesis essay, biographies,
historical essay, maps and photographs will be published by Holy
Cow! Press, Duluth, MN
